Patient Rights
Every patient has the right to:
1. Receive respectful care without discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, age, disability, nationality or economic status.

2. Be treated with dignity and have reasonable privacy during consultation, examination, therapy and treatment.
3. Receive understandable information about the health condition, proposed treatment, expected benefits, material risks, alternatives, approximate duration and estimated charges.
4. Know the identity and professional role of the healthcare personnel involved in the patient’s care.
5. Give, refuse or withdraw informed consent, subject to legal and emergency-care requirements.
6. Ask questions and participate in decisions relating to treatment.
7. Seek a second medical opinion and request relevant medical records according to applicable procedure and law.
8. Have personal and medical information kept confidential, except where disclosure is authorised, clinically necessary or legally required.
9. Receive information regarding hospital rules, charges, bills and available grievance-redressal mechanisms.
10. Receive safe care within the scope of services and facilities available at TarunVeda.
11. Raise a complaint without fear of discrimination or adverse impact on appropriate treatment.
Patient Responsibilities
Every patient or authorised attendant is expected to:
1. Provide complete and accurate information regarding symptoms, medical history, allergies, pregnancy, medicines and previous treatment.

2. Follow the treatment plan, safety instructions, dietary advice and medication directions provided by the treating practitioner.
3. Inform the treating team if instructions are not understood or cannot be followed.
4. Attend appointments on time and provide reasonable notice of cancellation.
5. Respect doctors, staff, other patients, visitors, hospital property and applicable rules.
6. Pay agreed charges and provide accurate insurance or TPA information.
7. Avoid photography, video recording or audio recording within clinical areas without permission.
8. Not bring prohibited, dangerous or intoxicating substances into the hospital.
9. Promptly report any adverse reaction, unexpected symptom or change in health condition.
10. Accept responsibility for the consequences of refusing treatment or not following professional advice.
